The Clause Continue Huge Festival Run From Y Not to Boardmasters

Notting Hill Music signing The Clause are continuing a huge summer of live music following a packed-out performance at Y Not Festival last weekend.

The Birmingham four-piece took to the stage at the Derbyshire festival on Saturday, delivering their explosive live show to a capacity crowd. Their set came as part of a major weekend for British guitar music, with The Libertines, Two Door Cinema Club, The Reytons and The Streets among this year’s headliners.

The reception offered another indication of the momentum building around The Clause. Combining anthemic indie rock with the swagger of ’60s songwriting, ’80s grooves and ’90s Britpop, the band have developed a fiercely loyal following through years of touring and a growing catalogue of crowd-ready tracks.

There will be little time to recover from Y Not, as The Clause now head south-west for another major festival appearance at Boardmasters.

Held across Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach in Newquay, Boardmasters combines live music and surfing in one of the most picturesque festival settings in the country. The 2026 edition takes place from 5–9 August, with a line-up featuring Kasabian, The Kooks, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner, Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal and James Arthur.

The Clause will perform on the Mordros stage from 1pm on Sunday 9 August, bringing their high-energy live set to the Cornish coast.

The two appearances form part of another exciting summer for a band whose rise has been driven by memorable live performances, sold-out headline dates and an ever-growing audience across the UK.

Following an incredible reception at Y Not, The Clause are ready to do it all again at Boardmasters this weekend.
