GANS release new single ‘My God Is A Stranger’

Notting Hill Music signings GANS have released their new single ‘My God Is A Stranger’ today, 30 September.

The track follows July’s ‘Do You Glow?’ and arrives just over a year after their debut album, Good For The Soul. For the Black Country duo, Thomas Rhodes and Euan Woodman, it’s the latest release in a busy stretch of recording and touring, with this year’s live highlights including supporting Pixies and playing Truck Festival.

Long-time friends, Rhodes and Woodman formed GANS in 2023 after playing together in earlier projects. Their initial bass-and-drums setup has since expanded to draw on electronic music alongside their post-punk roots, giving the pair more room to experiment.

Speaking to musomuso in August, they described starting GANS out of a shared need to make music for themselves. That instinct continues to guide the project as they follow their debut with new material and take it out on the road.

‘My God Is A Stranger’ arrives ahead of further UK live dates this autumn.
