Spyres’ new single “Game Over” is out now through First Run Records, with the track also earning a place on Spotify’s All New Rock playlist.
Released on 30 October, the single follows its appearance on BBC Sportscene’s Saturday goals round-up ahead of release.
“Game Over” explores the appeal of escaping everyday life and stepping into a world where you can reinvent yourself. Gaming imagery runs through the song’s themes of ambition, persistence and chasing the next win, set against driving guitars and infectious melodies.
The release follows the band’s recent secret midnight set at TENEMENT TRAIL, where fans were treated to an early live performance of the track.
