Olivia Rodrigo delivers unique version of "The Book of Love” by NHM writer Stephin Merritt as her contribution to War Child “Help 2” all-star album and gets huge boost from Radio 1

3-time Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo has recorded a haunting version of our long-time writer Stephin Merritt’s best-known song, “The Book of Love”, for the War Child charity album “Help 2” which was released on Friday March 6th. The track went straight on to the A List at BBC Radio 1 and Olivia has also posted a moving video to accompany the release. 

“The Book of Love” was first featured on the Magnetic Fields 1999 triple album “69 Love Songs” and has since been recorded by over 100 artists ranging from Peter Gabriel, Gavin James and Tracey Thorn to Josh Groban and 2 Cellos featuring Zucherro.
