AS IT IS Earn Widespread Praise for New Self-Titled Album
Notting Hill Music is delighted to celebrate the release of AS IT IS’ hugely anticipated new self-titled album, which arrived on 17 July via FLG Records.
The band’s fifth studio album marks a confident new chapter in their story, bringing Patty Walters, Ben Biss, Patrick Foley and Alistair Testo together for their first new album as a quartet in eight years. Across its 12 tracks, AS IT IS pairs the soaring hooks and irresistible energy upon which the band built their reputation with a renewed sense of optimism, friendship and perspective.
The album has already received a fantastic response from critics.
Kerrang! awarded the record four stars, praising its “excellent tunes” and describing “Ruin My Life”, featuring Murray Macleod of The XCERTS, as an “absolute barnburner.” The review celebrates an album filled with energy while recognising it as one of the band’s most emotionally complex releases to date.
Melodic Magazine called the record “a confident new chapter”, highlighting the brotherhood, passion for songwriting and hopeful outlook at its heart. The Review Geek also awarded the album an impressive 8/10, praising its hard-hitting lyrics, memorable hooks and emotional storytelling.
Featuring recent singles “Lose Your Way & Find Yourself”, “Ruin My Life”, “Marilyn” and “Do You Remember?”, the album captures a band reconnecting with what they love while embracing everything they have experienced along the way. It is both a celebration of AS IT IS’ history and a bold statement of who they are today.
A huge congratulations to our brilliant signing AS IT IS and everyone involved in creating the record.
