David Austin is an international Songwriter and Producer whose work has so far contributed to sales of well over 47 Million records worldwide.

As a teenager David Austin played guitar in a local London based ska band called The Executive along with school friends George Michael, Andrew Ridgeley and Andrew's brother Paul. Eventually George and Andrew went their own way to form Wham! and David played guitar in their TV backing band while trying to forge a solo career for himself as a performer or songwriter. His break came in 1983 when he signed his own but short lived recording contract with EMI records. More importantly he also secured a publishing contract with EMI Music Publishing. His career as a songwriter had begun.   

1986 saw the break up of Wham! David Austin along with George Michael booked into the studio to record two songs for David, I Want Your Sex and Look At Your Hands, both to be released under the umbrella of Boogie Box High. However, the songs eventually ended up on George's first solo album the iconic "Faith" which to date has gone on to sell over twenty five million albums around the world establishing it as an all time classic.  

David has since collaborated on all of George's solo albums writing such classics as Look At Your Hands, You Have Been Loved and John and Elvis are Dead. As a writing partnership their latest offering is the new George Michael 2009 Christmas single "December Song (I Dreamed of Christmas)".

The critically acclaimed US singer songwriter Beth Neilson Chapman, Reggae star Maxi Priest, Aswad, Jam and Spoon, Brand New Heavies the legendary Gerry Goffin, French superstar Patricia Kaas, British singers Billi Myers, Alison Moyet, Paul Young, George Michael, Italian star Irene Grandi, Jennifer Rush & Rob Thomas (Match Box twenty) & French DJ star David Vendetta.   

In January of this year, David was in Australia working with Sydney based DJ/remixers Stereogamous (Paul Mac), and George Michael on material for George's new album due to be released in 2012. He is currently working in London with Universal artist Daley (Gorillaz), and is soon to return to Australia to begin production/writing with the Australian band 'Sundance' for their new album.
